About Prestwich Marauders FC

Prestwich Marauders FC was formed in 1972 to provide football for young people in the Prestwich and Whitefield areas.

Today the Marauders has over 320 members, both boys and girls aged between five and 16, as well as two open age adult teams. We now extend well beyond Prestwich and Whitefield.

We field 26 teams in a number of local league competitions and enter teams in the local county cups.

At all ages, we take the training of our players seriously. We have approximately 30 FA Level One qualified football coaches. Importantly though, as much as we want playing success, enjoyment is the most important single pre-requisite at this club.

One of the main highlights of the year is our end of season presentation evenings, where every player receives an attendance trophy, in addition to Player of the Year awards, skills awards, etc. To see the younger players on stage receiving their trophies makes it all worthwhile.

Each season, as additional managers are taken on, they immediately get enrolled on accredited coaching courses at either Lancashire or Manchester FA, as well as being DBS checked.

We are also proud to have received the Charter Standard Development Club Award (Club Affiliation Number: X-LAN5482).
