Membership fees are set after we analyse how much money each team brings in, and take into account the costs we cover for everything from kits to booking winter training venues.
Your membership fees are accounted for as follows:
Winter training venues 43% of club income goes on booking 3G pitches for use by all teams from September to April, when dark nights and inclement weather make it implausible to train on our grass sites.
'All-team costs' - including kits At the start of the 2025-26 season the club supplied teams with kits for all their match-playing players. The financial impact of this was planned over two seasons to reflect the lifespans of the kits.
IMPORTANT: Kits are owned by the club, they remain the club's property. Therefore, players leaving the club MUST return their kits when they exit and if there are replacements in the squad, they get those kits.
'All-team costs' also includes equipment, insurance, courses, accreditation and events, and along with kits accounts for 20.5% of spend.
Pitch maintenance and hiring pitches We have three grass sites in the area that we upkeep - St Mary's Park (seven and nine-aside) and Sparks Field (small junior 11-aside) in Prestwich, and Sandgate Road (five, seven and nine-aside) in Whitefield.
All are used by our teams at some point in their life-span - mostly between April and September. We pay for everything from paint for pitch markings, to extensive drainage and aeration works. Teams above a certain age also require full-size 11-aside pitches, and we must hire those from external venues.
This all totals 16.5% of the money spent each year.
Central venue league fees This accounts for 14% of expenditure. Central venue leagues are ones were teams play at one site EVERY week, usually on 3G pitches. Fees for these leagues are higher than those for 'home and away' leagues that play on grass pitches, including our own sites.
To reflect this, teams playing in central venue leagues (a decision made by the team's manager) pay higher membership fees than the rest.
Grass league membership and ref fees Although 'home and away' leagues have lower fees, teams playing on grass pitches more often than not require referees to be paid to officiate their games. This comes to 6% of expenditure annually.
How to pay membership on our website

You can choose to pay in one 'full payment', or spread it out over 'instalments' of nine consecutive months.

Check with your team manager which you should be selecting.
