Sponsoring the club

At Prestwich Marauders Football Club, we thrive because of the passion and support of our community. Local businesses and other organisations play an essential role in this, and the support they give the club helps us deliver sport provision for hundreds of kids in our area.

We are currently seeking a full club sponsor who can choose to have their name on the home shirts of ALL our teams, and can benefit from the publicity we can provide (more details below).

To sponsor the whole club will cost a minimum of £5,000 a year for a minimum period of four years (two kit cycles). Please contact us by email if you or your company/organisation would like to find out more.

Separate sponsors are welcome to fund AWAY kits for specific teams.

Why sponsor the club?

Sponsorship provides vital resources for teams, like new kits and better facilities, while fostering confidence and joy in young players. For businesses and other organisations, it’s a chance to connect with the community, build goodwill, show they care, and strengthen local ties.

Sponsorship is more than a donation; it’s an investment in the next generation and a stronger, more connected Prestwich and surrounding areas.

What can sponsors do to help?

Some ways you can get involved as a sponsor:
  • Fund kits for teams
  • Donate or pay for equipment
  • Pay for facility hire
  • Provide facilities for club events
  • Gift raffle prizes

What do sponsors get?

As well as the social benefits in helping kids participate in sport and the positive reflection this will have on the organisation among potential customers or service users, you can get a boost from publicity we can provide.

You or your organisation may also benefit from 20 per cent tax relief for corporate responsibility in grass roots sport. Find out more.

If becoming the club's main sponsor:
  • Your organisation will be our main sponsors for a minimum of four years and can choose to have your name and logo on ALL our teams' HOME shirts - which equates to as many as 20 teams at once
  • Your organisation's name and logo will go on our communications - including monthly newsletter received by 250+ people, our website which has more than 3,000 visits per month during the football season, our social media accounts which have more than 1,000 followers
  • Your company name and logo will be featured on our website carousel images so everyone who visits the site sees it (3,000+ visits per month)
  • You will get regular featured adverts in the club's app, articles on the club's website about your organisation (500+ views per article on our website), and inclusion in every monthly newsletter
  • We will include you in all communications about how our teams are progressing
  • You will get a framed club HOME shirt with your logo on it (if you choose that option).

If funding a team’s AWAY kit
  • Your organisation will be classed as sponsors for two years
  • You will get your name on the AWAY shirt, if you wish
  • You will get a picture with the team in the kit, that can include a company representative, which will be shared on the club’s social media accounts, which have more than 1,000 followers
  • Your organisation’s logo, name and links to a website will be featured on the PMFC website for two years. The site receives more than 3,000 views per month
  • We will do an article on the club’s website and app about your organisation. Such news stories receive up to 500 views
  • You will get regular updates on how the team you have sponsored is progressing.

If you are paying for items, equipment or facility hire/loan or other non-kit related contributions
  • You will be classed as sponsors for one year
  • You get your organisation’s logo, name and links to a website featured on the PMFC website for one year. The site receives more than 3,000 views per month
  • Your organisation will get a mention and thanks on the club’s social media accounts, which are followed by more than 1,000 people

How much will this cost?

This depends on:
  • What teams need
  • How much organisations wish to spend
  • What it is the organisation is funding
It is best to discuss this with the club after submitting an interest in becoming a sponsor.

An example is sponsoring a full kit for a squad of 10 younger players would cost approximately £600. Alternatively paying for 10 training balls for a team could cost as little as £100.

How do organisations get involved?

You can contact the club via email, or if you know the teams involved discuss with the coaches and the options can then be considered.
