A Marauders coach is organising a night of alternative entertainment to raise funds for charity Young Lives Vs Cancer.

Wolves coach Paul Southern is currently on a hiatus from coaching, while Mack, his son and the team’s number seven, battles leukaemia.

Paul had the idea of a fun night of entertainment to help the charity who have been a great support for his family and thousands of others across the country in similar situations.

‘All that Marlarkey’ will take place at The Carlton Club, on Bury Old Road, M25 1JA on Friday 19 September. The line up includes:

  • Poet Thick Richard
  • Comic Big Lou
  • Band Detour
  • Tunes from the Dead Good Nineties Disco

Entrance is £10 on the door on the night or tickets can be bought via Skiddle.

A spokesperson for Young Lives Vs Cancer described what they do and how they help: “Our team of professionals work with children and young people to limit the damage of cancer.

“We support young cancer patients emotionally – building their resilience so they can continue to learn, regain their confidence and be inspired to think beyond cancer.

“We work with schools on a child or young person’s behalf, helping them keep in touch with friends, organising work at home so they don’t fall behind and helping schools prepare for when a child goes back to school.”
