Marauders players were a lucky charm as mascots during Prestwich Heys' win at the weekend.

Players from Phoenix under-11s girls, Hurricanes under-nines girls, Cheetahs under-13s girls and Wolves under-11s boys, walked out with the Heys players and watched them beat South Liverpool 3-0.

Despite play being stopped briefly due to thunder and lightning the kids had a great day, enjoying a free drink and hotdog, as parents also got free entry.

It was the latest example of the growing partnership between the two clubs, with other similar opportunities in the pipeline.

The klds were an absolute credit to Marauders and Heys were impressed with their behaviour and the luck they brought the team.

Remember - all under-16s get in free for games at Heys' Adie Moran Park, which is on the same site as our Sandgate Road base in Whitefield.
