Coach Stewart said: "The boys did really well considering we hadn't been able to train due to the weather and Christmas. Other than long balls we kept the opponents at bay for most of the game.
"We showed good energy and were always looking for a pass, which was good to see. I thought all the boys contributed massively in cold and wet conditions and the link up play from back to front was very impressive at times.
"The three goals we scored were very well worked and well finished. We should have made it a little easier on ourselves with better passing in the final third at times, but on the whole we did really well.
"Finlay, Thomas and Jurgen were up there for player of the game, but Marlon took the trophy home. I thought his pace and calmness on the ball were another level and he dealt with the big lad up front very well. We go marching on to the next round of the cup."
Panthers under-10s boys started the year where they left off the last one, with a good performance against Swinton Titans.
Coach Ste said: "There were two goals in the first five minutes for William, who put in a player of the match performance in midfield. His determination to win every ball helped Panthers control the game. The rest of the first half was fairly even without either team creating too many clear cut chances.
"The second half was more open as both team pushed for goals. The Panthers defence was excellent and cleared a number of good Swinton chances, while David also made an excellent save.
"At the other end Enzo, Ethan and James had a number of chances but couldn’t find the back of the net. James then had an excellent solo run past three defenders and converted to round off an excellent performance for the Panthers."
Fellow under-10s boys Jaguars also continued a good run of form in their first game back against SHF.
Coach Tim said: "It is always a bit of an unknown quantity after the Christmas break. The opposition were physical and presented a good challenge but the boys stood up to the approach and kept their heads to play some good football.
"The Jaguars scored through Adam but were pegged back by long range strikes, before James struck before half time.
"We took our chance when James scored again early in the second half but SHF were determined and wouldn't give in. The Jaguars showed great perseverance and composure, with James completing his hat-trick, before Adam finished off a excellent work by Riley.
"Further chances came our way but Flynn could not quite finish to make the score more representative of the performance. It was great to be back and the lads had a great time as usual."
