Anything is possible for girls in football, as our wonderful England team showed once again in retaining the European Championship this summer.
So if you know any Year 1 or 2 girls who would love to get involved in the game, while having fun, please spread the word about our weekly development sessions for kids.
They take place on Wednesday nights from 6pm to 7pm at Unsworth Academy Sports Hall (BL9 8LP) and are just £5 for the hour.
In our latest 'behind the scenes' column, one of the coaches running development at the club explains what goes into the sessions and how football can help kids in numerous ways - not just teaching them to a kick a ball. We are creating memories that can last a lifetime.

Starting in grass roots football with Marauders could be the moment your child goes down a path that leads to greatness.
As England Lionesses' head coach Sarina Wiegman said: “I often say to the squad ‘go back to that young girl who first started playing football, think about the happiness those days provided you’. All of the players have had a different journey but their love for the sport will have started at their first club."
James Kendall, Director of Football Development at The FA, added: “Grassroots football is a reminder that the foundations of the game are built in local communities, by dedicated coaches, clubs and volunteers who give players the chance to fall in love with football. It’s those opportunities that shaped the Lionesses, and it’s those same opportunities we want to ensure every woman and girl has, showing that they are made for this game.”
Equally, girls may just want to have fun. And our sessions have that aim at the forefront throughout.
